: Welcome to Rosina´ world

Gabila Rissone (civil name Gabriella Musumeci) is born in 1960 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Her parents are Rosina Wachtmeister and the painting artist Paolo Rissone. Her family left Brazil in 1967 and moved to Rom. Gabila studied and passed her degree at the Conservatory of Music.

However it is not easy to ignore painting by living with parents who are both painters!

So began Gabila Rissone to paint small pictures and collages. She was just equipped with a notelock and a folder and sold her pictures on the Piazza Navona in Roma, where could be compared with an open air artists´gallery in the 70s because of the other artists on the place.

Her pictures are reproduced on art prints, calendars and floor mats. Gabila Rissone creates also stage design.

She has a son, Battista, who is born in 1980. He is ceramicist. Her daughter, Beatrice, is still studing.
